General Information
Founded in 1938, Guizhou Medical University (GMU) was originally known as the National Guiyang Medical College. It was one of the nine national medical colleges under the Ministry of Education. In 1950, it was renamed Guiyang Medical College, and in 2015Guizhou Medical University. It is now the only key provincial university in Guizhou Province that offers a complete medical talents training system: from Bachelor of Medicine, Master of Medicine, to Doctor of Medicine.
Established in 2014, School of Overseas Education has enrolled more than 200 foreign students. School of Overseas Education has a strong faculty of teachers specializing in clinical medicine, pharmacy, etc. School of Overseas Education is committed to excellence in teaching and research, equity, and diversity.

Applicants must be:
18 to 25 years old
Senior high school diploma or equivalent
Physically and mentally healthy
Non-Chinese citizens
Have no violation of disciplines, no punishment for public security, and no criminal conduct and record. Comply with Chinese laws and university regulations, and respect Chinese customs and manners.

Application Procedures
1.Sign up and log in to the Online Application System of the School of Overseas Education to fill in the information and upload the application materials as required: https://gmc.17gz.org/
2.Registration fee is 650 RMB (online payment only, registration fee will not be refunded).
3.After passing the initial review of online application, you will receive an interview confirmation email. Once the interview time is confirmed, it cannot be modified. After passing the interview, it will be regarded as an official admission.
4.For applicants who have passed the application document review and the exams/assessment, SOE will issue admission letters as well as relevant admission documents including the “Visa Application for Study in China (JW202 Form)” (postage will be paid by applicants themselves). Applicants are required to apply for the entry visa after receiving the materials, and report back to the school before the time specified on your admission letter.
Application Documents
1.One photocopy of your passport valid for at least 6 months after entry. Applicants applying from China are required to provide a photocopy of the visa page or residence permit page.
2.Official Transcripts of your senior high school (including all courses taken in senior high school).
3.Senior high school diploma.
4.Certification of language proficiency (Chinese or English). Certificate must be the original copy or a notarized copy. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese o English.
5.Original photocopy of FOREIGNER PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FORM. Applicants can download the form from the website of our school and then go to the designated hospital in your host country for physical examination. The results are valid for 6 months.
6.Bank statements for at least the last six months.
*All certification materials must be original or notarized. You are required to provide the notarized translation for documents not originally in Chinese or English.
*Please pay attention to the status of your online application. Online application review typically takes around 1-2 weeks after submission. The review of the online application may be delayed during the winter vacation. Upon passing the initial review, download the International Student Application Form for Guizhou Medical University. The form must be completely filled in(attach a passport photo to the form) and signed by the applicant. The form must behand-delivered to our school at the time of enrolling.
*If necessary, GMU will ask the applicant to submit additional materials. Applicants can also look through the website of our department or contact the department to confirm the required application materials. The above materials are not refundable under any circumstance, regardless of the admission decision, the date of filing, time of review, or if for whatever the reason, the application is withdrawn or you are unable to enroll for a class.

Admission and Registration
1.Admission:
Admission will be determined according to all of the candidates’ application materials and interview performances. Admission results will be published at the end of June on our website. The specific time will be notified separately. Admission materials will be issued before July.
2.Registration:
New students must register in person at GMU according to the time specified in the Admission Letter. Please bring the Admission Letter, the original JW202 Form, and all original and photocopies of application materials for registration.

Accommodations
The School of Overseas Education of Guizhou Medical University has dormitories of different specifications and conditions, such as double rooms and four-person rooms. Each dormitory is equipped with a refrigerator, washing machine, air conditioner, internet, and private bathroom. Given the limited dormitory resources, dormitories of double rooms will be open for application after registration.
